USS Cheyenne returned from deployment to Joint Base Pearl Harbor-Hickam back in April on the 26th.

USS Cheyenne is named after the city of Cheyenne, Wyoming, and enjoys a strong relationship with its namesake city highlighted the Cheyenne Mayor, Marian Orr, while she traveled to Pearl Habor to greet the crew as they returned from deployment.

[She says that] “It was a profoundly touching and patriotic event to be aboard God’s Boat as we came home to Pearl Harbor.  Speaking on behalf of our great city, I thank the submariners — of our namesake city — who risk their lives to protect our nation.  We salute you.”

The visit to Hawaii was made possible by an array of local businesses through their generous sponsorship, as well as in-kind donations to give thanks to the namesake crew of the USS Cheyenne (SSN773). The Military Affairs Committee would like to thank the following supporters:

GOLD SPONSORS:

  • Blue Federal Credit Union
  • First Interstate Bank

SILVER SPONSORS:

  • Merrie & Tom Elsberry
  • Meridian Trust FCU
  • ANB Bank
  • MHP
  • Rob Whittecar, State Farm
  • Western Vista CU
  • Pinnacle Bank

Featured in the photo are the namesake crew, at homecoming, wearing the Namesake City T-shirts generously donated.

“Thank you to all the crew for their strength and sacrifice while serving our great country.”
