On July 11, at about 6:45 p.m., a Cheyenne Police Department officer responded to the 900 block of E. Carlson in regards to a suspicious circumstances call. The officer contacted Sean Archer, 27, of Cheyenne, who exited a car while drinking a beer. The officer attempted to detain Archer and Archer grabbed the officer’s arm, eventually putting the officer into a headlock. The officer was able to radio for assistance and a second officer quickly
arrived. The two officers together were able to control Archer and nobody was seriously injured during the event.
Archer was arrested for assault on a police officer and transported to the Laramie County Jail.
This case remains under investigation by the Cheyenne Police Department.
